More information:
Green coffee beans
We are all familiar with coffee; the difference between our usual coffee and the green coffee beans used in this food supplement is simply that they are raw and haven’t been roasted. Green coffee beans contain chlorogenic (and therefore, caffeic) acid – a nutrient largely destroyed during the roasting process, but Green Coffee Bean EXTREME preserves these levels, even in encapsulated form (50%).
Kelp
Kelp is a large edible seaweed (algae), which grows in underwater “forests” in shallow oceans. It contains vitamins (such as A, B1, B2, C, D and E), minerals (such as iodine, vanadium, zinc, magnesium, iron, potassium, copper and calcium), enzymes (haloperoxidases), amino acids (including tryptophan, threonine, isoleucine, methionine, cysteine and valine) and chlorophyll.
Iodine contributes to: normal cognitive function, normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system, the maintenance of normal skin, the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function, as well as to the normal growth of children.
Cinnamon
The cinnamon plant is a small, evergreen tree belonging to the family of Lauraceae within the genus, Cinnamomum. This spice is native to Sri Lanka, but is also now grown in many other countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, India and China. It contains flavonoids (such as carotenes, zea-xanthin, lutein and cryptoxanthin) and essential oils such as eugenol (a phenylpropanoids class of chemical compound that is responsible for its pleasant, sweet aromatic fragrance), ethyl cinnamate, linalool, cinnamaldehyde, beta-caryophyllene and methyl chavicol. It also contains vitamins and minerals like potassium, calcium, manganese, iron, zinc, magnesium, vitamin A, niacin, pantothenic acid and pyridoxine.
Cayenne
Cayenne pepper is a hot chilli pepper in the Capsicum family. It contains capsaicin, which is the component that is responsible for the burning sensation associated with chillis. It also contains vitamins, minerals and flavonoids, including riboflavin, niacin, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium, vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin K.
Chromium picolinate
A trace mineral, chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels.
